Everyclick serves its first million searches

Howard Lake | 15 December 2005 | News

Everyclick.com, the search engine that donates 50% of its gross revenue to charity every month, has delivered over 1,000,000 searches. A user who spotted the millionth search has won £100 for their charity, the special care services charity BREAK.

Everyclick encouraged its users to look out for the millionth search and to send in a screen shot of it if they saw it. The winning entry of all those who entered the competition was that of a supporter of BREAK. Since joining everyclick.com in September the charity had already raised over £200 through its network of 70 supporters before winning the additional £100.

Molly Housego of BREAK said: Joining everyclick has been very beneficial for BREAK Charity… The funds our supporters have raised through everyclick so far has contributed towards four nights of essential respite for a child or adult with disabilities.”

Polly Gowers of everyclick.com said: “We look forward to when we are delivering over 1,000,000 searches a day as this means we could be raising over £10,000 a day for charity just through people doing something they already do on a daily basis.”
