Royal Bank of Scotland donates £250,000 to Barnardo's

The Royal Bank of Scotland’s donation will be used to create a special play area and a sensory room for children at Barnardo’s Caern project centre in Edinburgh’s Gogarbank which will provide vital short breaks for children with disabilities.

These facilities would not have been possible without the donation. Furthermore, the donation has accelerated the timescale of the new centre, which is scheduled for 2006.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group Chief Executive, Sir Fred Goodwin, said: “We have a long history of supporting the communities in which we operate and where our staff live and work. We could think of no better way of marking the opening of our new Campus at Gogarburn than providing support to this important Barnardo’s project.”
