DSC to add two new online funding directories

The Directory of Social Change’s promotional material for its Charityfair event mentions two upcoming online funding resources covering company giving and grants for individuals.

The Directory of Social Change is to add two new online funding resources to complement its existing government and trust funding online directories. Both were first announced in the DSC’s September 2003 newsletter (issue 22, p.3) and are due to go live in April 2005.

Companygiving.org.uk, a web address that UK Fundraising noted some time ago had been registered, will build on DSC’s printed publication, “A Guide to Company Giving”. DSC says that “this site will give subscribers the benefit of regularly updated resource providing information on the top corporate givers”. Users will be able to register for personalised email alerts of relevant new additions to the site.

Grantsforindividuals.org.uk also builds on an existing DSC printed publication, A Guide to Grants for Individuals in Need. The web-based resource will feature information on over 2,600 grant-making trusts that provide funding for individuals in need, and for educational purposes. Users will also be able to sign up for relevant email alerts.

Pricing and more details are not yet available but it is likely that the two new services will be launched at Charityfair.
