ITDG changes its name to Practical Action

The Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG), set up in the 1960s to address poverty and help redress the problem of the rich world off loading inappropriate technology onto the poor world, has today been renamed Practical Action.
The charity believes that its new name will help it communicate to a wider audience because it better reflects its mission.
A spokesperson said: “we believe our new name – Practical Action – better explains what we do but is also a name that our existing and potential friends and supporters will remember.”
