Philanthropy Ireland publishes new journal

Philanthropy Ireland has published its new biannual journal which deals with a range of issues around foundation and big gift giving.
This first edition includes perspectives on developments within philanthropy from Ireland and the UK through to the EU and the United States.
It gives an update on the new Charities Act, which has just been signed into law in Ireland, discusses the role of wealth advisors in promoting philanthropy, highlights social entrepreneurship in Ireland and explores private investment in arts and culture.
Perhaps inevitably, there is a particular focus on the current recession and its impact on philanthropy, the community and voluntary sector and other not-for-profit organisations.
Copies of Philanthropy Scope can be downloaded from the organisation’s website.
