New head of fundraising at NCH

Liz Monks has been appointed executive director of fundraising at children’s charity NCH.

Liz will replace Stephen Gilbert, Interim Director of Marketing & Fundraising, and will be a member of the charity’s new executive management team. She will play a significant role in leading the organisation towards improving and sustaining voluntary income.

For the last five years, Liz has been the Deputy Director of Fundraising at Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity. She began her career in marketing in financial services, before joining the corporate fundraising team at the Terrence Higgins Trust where she managed the World Aids Day events and partnerships for the charity. Following this Liz then joined RNID where she managed the charity’s Corporate and Community Fundraising Teams, including developing the Sound Start for Deaf Children fundraising campaign.
