Charity Fundraising Management course opens to professional fundraisers

The University of the West of England’s Charity Fundraising Management course is now open to professional fundraisers.

The course forms part of the University’s BA in Marketing and is aimed at undergraduates as a final year option. However, it will be taught “at a level accessible to most professional fundraisers”.

It aims to provide a thorough understanding of fundraising practice and to open up access to the latest research conducted in the field. As a result, individuals with fewer than five years’ experience of fundraising, or who are focused on just one aspect of fundraising in their present role, may find it of value.

The course will be taught by Professor Adrian Sargeant and Stephen Lee, the Director of the Centre for Voluntary Sector Management at Henley Management College.

The course, reference number UMM075S3, is open to professional fundraisers for a fee of £160. It will be taught over a period of 20 weeks (two semesters) on a Tuesday morning from 09.30 – 11.30 starting in late
September 2004 on the Coldharbour Lane campus of the University of the West of
England at Bristol.
