Cambridge students hold online charity auction

Cambridge Rag (Raising and Giving), the student charity fundraising organisation, is holding its first online auction, the Cambridge Auction.

The auction website was launched on 1 May 2005 and allows people to place advance bids for a variety of lots ahead of the grand sale on 28 May.

More than 80 lots will be up for grabs at the event including signed LPs from Elvis, Bob Marley and Frank Sinatra, a framed US Open Masters flag signed by every champion since 1960, a Muhammed Ali boxing glove, a James Bond montage signed by all the actors that have played 007 over the years and tickets to two Cambridge May Balls.

There is also a signed Princess Diana leather bound book that has previously sold for £30,000.

Bidding for each lot starts at £1.
