70s hit released to raise funds for Comic Relief
Comic Relief is making a bid for the number one spot and further income with the release of a CD of comedian Peter Kay miming to Tony Christie’s 1971 hit ‘Is This The Way To Amarillo?’
A video of the mime was shown on Friday’s Red Nose Day telethon, and featured a host of comedians and celebrities walking alongside Peter Kay, including Michael Parkinson, Ronnie Corbett, and Keith Harris and Orville. Tony Christie himself also appeared.
The CD is already the top selling CD at Amazon.co.uk. All proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief.
