Halifax's Howard Brown launches charity single for NSPCC

Howard Brown, the Halifax bank employee who appeared in some of the company’s TV adverts, is to release a charity single to raise funds for the NSPCC.

Brown is releasing, with help from the Halifax, a cover version of Barry White’s “You’re the First, the Last, my Everything”. The Sheldon branch manager first found fame in 2001 in a TV ad singing a version of the Tom Jones single “Sex Bomb”.

The single will be released on 7 March 2005.
