UK Radio Aid, the unprecedented collaboration between the UK’s commercial radio stations to run a joint fundraising broadcast, has raised over £3 million for the DEC’s tsunami appeal.

More than 250 local and national commercial radio stations abandoned their planned schedules for 12 hours on 17 January 2005 to make way for a joint fundraising broadcast.

Presenters included Chris Evans, Simon Bates, Kate Thornton, Davina McCall, Zoe Ball, Frank Skinner, Mark Goodier, and Johnny Vaughan.
