Largest NHS charity announces new name
Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charitable Foundation is changing its name to Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity
Since 1999 the charity, the largest NHS charity, has made grants of nearly £8 million to help enhance existing services, develop new approaches to healthcare and support research into medical science.
The charity was formed from the merger of the Special Trustees of Guy’s Hospital and the Special Trustees for St Thomas’ Hospital. The charity can trace its roots back to the 12th century when St Thomas’ Hospital was founded.
