Friends of the Earth Scotland is £2,000 better off after one of their fundraising staff took quick action after reading an item in our daily e-mail alert.

Vicki Bradley spotted news of CAF’s National Giving Week in our daily e-mail alert and the £2,000 for charity that was up for grabs each day last week from the Community Channel.

She was on holiday at the time, but alerted her colleagues at work and staff and board members entered the competition
online. One of the board members won the £2,000 and handed it over to the charity.

“Thank you once again for the fantastic job you do bringing all the up to date information to us”, Vicki said
to UK Fundraising. “Because of you my charity is £2000 richer today”.

Other winners of the daily prize include Nicholas Fletcher from Yorkshire who nominated charities working with the homeless; Sheila Hodgson from Middlesex who gave her £2,000 to RAFT (Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust); and Dawn Dobson of Stoke-on-Trent who gave her prize to CLIC (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood).
