Upstarts Awards 2005 open for nominations
Next year’s New Statesman’s Upstarts Awards, which promote the idea of social enterprises and entrepreneurs, are now open for nominations.
Launched in 2001, the Upstarts Awards are open to all qualifying UK businesses and residents. They aim to recognise and reward individuals and enterprises that demonstrate extraordinary vision, good business practice and social responsibility. They also showcase working models of social enterprises “that present innovative and sustainable solutions to social problems.”
There are five award categories, including social enterprise champion, and overseas impact award. Winners received trophies and a range of IT and energy audit prizes.
