US agency NP Advisors’ has announced the results of its recent Nonprofit Web Issues survey.

Rick Christ, editor of NP Advisors e-fund News, reports that the top problem idenfitied by respondents, was “How can our site help us broaden and deepen the relationship with our donors?”

The survey consisted of one qustion: “what’s your biggest internet challenge this year?”

Possible answers included “I need to get more people visiting our site”, “Plenty of people visit our site, but few take any action”, “I’m not sure our site complies with federal and state rules and industry standards”, and “Our site is boring / the content is old / the design is ugly”.

Rick admits that the sample size was not scientifically valid, but still felt that the result showed that respondents were at least focusing on the true potential of their organisation’s Web site.
