New restaurant discount book launches in London

The Ultimate Restaurant & Leisure Book has been launched for the London area, offering charities the opportunity to raise funds by letting their supporters enjoy discounts of around 25-50%.
The Ultimate Restaurant & Leisure Book
contains hundreds of offers from restaurants, bars, leisure and health & beauty businesses based in London, many of them offering around 25-50% discount.
The publishers are encouraging voluntary groups, charities and corporates in the London area to use the book as a fundraising tool. For every book sold by a participating organisation, a percentage of the book’s sale price, up to a maximum of £5 per book, is donated to that organisation.

The book costs £19.95. This fee, the publishers point out, can be recovered often by simply using just one of the vouchers in the book. The book is valid until September 2005.
Similar offer books have been launched in the past, but The Ultimate Restaurant & Leisure Book is different in that charities can earn income from it by promoting it online. The publishers create a Web page for each participating organisation and the organisation receives its commission for any books bought through that page.
