The Vodafone UK Foundation reports that Vodafone employees in the UK raised over £1 million for charitable organisations over the last financial year more than doubling the previous year’s total.

Donations by employees to a large number of voluntary organisations across the UK received matched funding by The Vodafone UK Foundation as part of Vodafone UK’s employee ‘Getting Involved’ programme. The in-house programme, launched in December 2002 offers financial support for staff fundraising. It also actively promotes payroll giving and volunteering opportunities for employees so they can give their time and skills to support Foundation funded projects.

Between April 2003 and April 2004, The Vodafone UK Foundation was asked by employees to support 530 separate fundraising events and activities in aid of 300 different charity and community groups.
