Over 8,000 subscribers receive UK Fundraising's e-mail newsletter

UK Fundraising’s fortnightly e-mail newsletter now has over 8,000 subscribers, double the number of members of the Institute of Fundraising.

The e-mail newsletter has been published every second Tuesday since February 2000. It lists additions to the UK Fundraising site, including news, jobs, books and discussions, and is the ideal way to keep up to date with this large site which is updated many times throughout the day.

Reaching the 8,000 subscriber mark further extends UK Fundraising News’ reputation as the largest and most current e-mail distribution list for fundraisers and related staff in the UK. Subscribers are live and current: if any issues are bounced back, we delete the subscription.

The newsletter’s actual audience is of course going to be even larger, given the ease with which e-mail newsletters can be forwarded.

How does the newsletter compare with other e-mail distribution lists? Here are a few comparison lists and forums for fundraisers, together with their subscriber numbers as of today. Some focus on fundraising issues, others like Charity Times cover the whole charity sector:

Not only does the list far exceed any other e-mail distribution list for fundraisers in the UK, it also includes far more than just the e-mail address that most other services gather. Most subscribers to UK Fundraising News share details with us of their job title, length of fundraising experience, area of fundraising activity, and budgetary responsibility. We plan on publishing an updated analysis of all these figures later this summer. And please don’t ask if we rent this list out: we don’t and won’t. The only way advertisers can reach this list is through placing adverts in the newsletter.

If you’re not one of our 8,000 subscribers, then sign up today at no charge to receive UK Fundraising News.
