Howard Lake | 6 May 2004 | News

Uber-search engine Google has announced it is to create a charitable grant-making foundation.

In the run-up to the anticipated public offering of Google on the US stock market, the search engine company has announced that it will create a charitable foundation to co-ordinate all its charitable activities.

It already offers a ‘Google Grants’ programme which gives US non-profit groups free AdWords„¢ advertising on its results pages. Current applications are on hold but you can still fill in the downloadable application form for possible future consideration.
