'Ms Ordinary' raises £4,653 from London Marathon

Laura Foster, who called herself ‘Ms Ordinary’ in her attempt to stop disgraced peer Jeffrey Archer from achieving the world record for the most money raised in a marathon, didn’t quite reach his target of £1.6 million.

Nevertheless, she raised £4,653.50 for charities including the NSPCC, Shelter and Help the Aged.

Her Web site points out that she completed the Marathon in 4 hours 14 minutes, whereas Archer finished in 5 hours 26. She added: “have you noticed how quiet Archer has been about his own fundraising campaign?” It does indeed look as if he did not reach his target.
