Four leading charities form Disability United consortium

Howard Lake | 28 April 2004 | News

Disability United is a new consortium formed to represent the corporate fundraising efforts of the UK’s leading disability charities – Action for Blind People, Leonard Cheshire, Mencap and MS Society.

The consortium has been created so that the four charities can offer the benefits of their shared expertise to companies. From a corporate perspective there is the additional benefit of knowing that a single campaign will support four charities, enabling a company’s involvement to have greater impact.

Speaking on behalf of Disability United, Leonard Cheshire director of fundraising, Assaf Admoni says; “Each charity has its own specific aims – yet we all share one common objective – providing support to disabled people. I like to think of the consortium as the ‘Fab Four’ of fundraising and I’m confident that this common approach will yield very positive results.”
