Non-profit.com domain name sold for $309

Howard Lake | 20 April 2004 | News

The domain name non-profit.com which UK Fundraising mentioned last week has been auctioned online for $309.

The domain name, a useful address for both voluntary and commercial organisations working in the non-profit sector, received 18 bids on eBay before bidding closed.

The sale figure suggests that voluntary sector-related domain names are still becoming available at affordable prices. Of course, it is likely that, had the domain name not contained a hyphen, it might have fetched quite a bit more. But that domain name is held by the Chronicle of Philanthropy in the USA.
