Portland Hospital to support Dreams Come True

Howard Lake | 6 February 2004 | News

The Portland Hospital, the only private London hospital entirely dedicated to the treatment of women and children, is to support national children’s charity Dreams Come True in 2004 through a variety of fundraising initiatives which will be held to mark the Hospital’s 21st anniversary.

Judy van den Broek, CEO for the Portland Hospital, explained how the hospital chose its charity of the year. “The Portland paediatric unit cares for babies, toddlers and children up to the age of 16 years suffering a wide spectrum of common illnesses and also the more unusual conditions, and so, when looking for a charity to support in our 21st anniversary year, there seemed to be a natural link between the Hospital and Dreams Come True.”

Fundraising events in the year will include a sponsored pram push, Hospital Open Day and Gala Ball together with a variety of activities undertaken by Portland staff and consultants.
