Radio Investments Ltd’s 21 UK radio stations raised over £112,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief on 19 June 2003.

Radio Investments’ stations include Silk FM, Sun FM, Arrow FM and Wessex FM and cover more than 3 million people. Each radio station worked alongside local Macmillan Appeal offices to promote the event encouraging local businesses to sign up and get their members of staff to bring one pound to work for Macmillan.

The campaign resulted in 1,766 companies registering to take part on the day. Many received publicity from a roving reporter who accompanied a Macmillan staff member to collect the donations in person. An on-air mention acknowledged the companies’ support.
