New trustee at Guy's and St Thomas' Charitable Foundation

Keith Palmer has been appointed as a trustee of the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charitable Foundation, the largest NHS-related charity in the country.

The recently retired Executive Vice Chairman of Rothschild investment bank will join the five existing Trustees of the Charitable Foundation.

The Foundation is an endowment and fundraising charity which provides funding for Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Trust and the associated Primary Care Trusts and mental health services for patients in Lambeth and Southwark, London.

Keith Palmer has held a number of senior management positions during his 18-year career with N.M. Rothschild and Sons Ltd, including Chief Executive and Executive Vice Chairman.

Keith’s involvement in health improvement includes his roles as a Non-Executive Director of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Trust, Trustee and Treasurer of Cancer Research UK and non-executive Director of IVIMEDS, a not-for-profit collaboration of 40 medical schools in 15 countries working to develop e-supported medical and nursing education worldwide.
