Poppy collector attacked with hammer

A 79 year-old war veteran was attacked with a hammer on Monday while collecting for the Royal British Legion.
Eric Paternoster was attacked while collecting in a Safeway store in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. He is recovering at home but has vowed to return to collecting in next year’s Poppy campaign.
A 29-year old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.
