Licensing Act changes to affect voluntary organisations

Howard Lake | 17 September 2003 | News

Voluntary organisations holding certain types of public events should be aware of changes covering these activities by the Licensing Act 2003.

Likely to come into effect in March 2004, the Licensing Act contains a number of changes that will affect voluntary organisations. For example, public entertainment licences and community premises licences will be replaced by Premises licences. These will affect organisations holding public entertainment, film shows, indoor sporting events, performances of live or recorded music, dance performances and plays.

Sandy Adirondack covers these and other implications for voluntary organisations in her legal update.
