Applications open for ITV’s Text Santa 2014

ITV is inviting applications from charities wishing to benefit from this year’s Text Santa campaign. It will choose from four to six charities who “provide practical and tangible help for people in need”.
In its first three years, the Christmas campaign, which includes six-hours of TV coverage through programmes and regional news, has raised £15 million for charities.

Is your charity eligible?

To be eligible charities must have had a minimum average annual income of £1.5 million from 2010-2012. They should have an operational presence in at least two of Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales.
The selected charities must commit to spending the money received on UK-based projects.
Funds raised by Text Santa can not be used for core running costs, political lobbying or religious campaigns.
Charities must also confirm that they are not running any major Christmas campaigns of their own, “or with another 250 FTSE company or UK broadcaster between October 2014 and March 2015 that would conflict with Text Santa”.
Charities must also have the staff and skills to meet other requirements, such as interacting with ITV’s commercial partners on a local and national level, providing access to celebrity and corporate charity patrons and supporters, and providing a dedicated Account Manager for Text Santa requirements.
Applications to ITV Text Santa must be received by midday on 10 March 2014.
