Ethical PR agency launches campaign for Ethical Careers Service

KOAN PR, one of the UK’s first ethical PR agencies, has secured interviews for Anita Roddick to promote the Ethical Careers Service (ECS) on BBC Breakfast and Channel 4 News.

Elaine James, Koan PR founder and managing director, explains that Koan PR helps clients implement their social responsibility projects as an integral part of their PR campaigns.

The agency is targeting not only blue chips but also SMEs, which Elaine believes should buy into the concept of CSR and CRM, and charities. Koan PR will deposit a percentage of its profits into an associated charitable trust. “PR agencies should not be exempt from CSR,” she added.

Koan PR works exclusively with charities, non-governmental organisations, not-for-profit operations, ethical brands, products and services and businesses wanting to undertake cause related marketing or corporate social responsibility activity. Its clients include the Mines Advisory Group (MAG). In addition to having undertaken a national and international media relations campaign, highlighting MAG’s presence and efforts in Iraq, Koan is currently launching Schools4MAG, a project to involve schools in MAG’s activities. The project will be sponsored by commercial companies, ethical organisations and media that identify with MAG’s humanitarian efforts worldwide.
