Gift Aid promoted in tax return mailings
If you receive an annual tax return, you’ll probably have noticed the insert promoting Gift Aid.
The Inland Revenue is helping to promote Gift Aid by including an insert in the millions of tax return documents it is sending out.
The A4 sheet features the new “Giftaid it” logo and states “now is an especially good time to give to charity.” It includes details on how Gift Aid works, how higher rate taxpayers can claim relief early, and details of sources of further information, including the Web address of the Giving Campaign.
