Institute of Fundraising launches National Convention

The Institute of Fundraising has announced the programme for the 2003 National Convention to be held in Birmingham form 7-9 July 2003.

The first day features 34 in-depth workshops, which must be booked in advance. The convention also has a new set of longer sessions aimed at senior fundraisers, and there are also some leading speakers from the USA and Canada.

Session summaries are not yet available but the Institute promises they will be published on its website from May.

This year’s convention party will have a tropical theme.

The Institute has announced a major increase in the number of bursaries available to help some charities pay for a fundraiser to attend this expensive event. There are 40 residential bursaries, available to members only, and a further six day delegate bursaries sponsored by The Guardian. Application forms are available from the Institute’s website.
