Institute launches bursary scheme for Convention

The Institute of Fundraising has launched its bursary scheme for fundraising professionals in the UK and abroad who wish to attend National Convention in July 2007.

In partnership with the Guardian it is offering a bursary for UK fundraisers to cover the entire cost of a day-delegate pass including session attendance, lunch and breaktime refreshments. There are 40 such passes available for any day of Convention.

One international bursary is on offer, in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals. This will include a three-day Convention pass, party ticket, place at the National Awards, three nights accommodation and full travel expenses. Ten travel bursaries to help towards international travel are also available.

To apply applicants must write a supporting statement of up to 250 words, outlining why attendance at Convention would benefit them and/or their organistation. IoF trustees will assess each application and the deadline for submissions is Friday 27 April.

Details of the bursaries are available from the Convention website – although details of international bursaries will not be available until February.
