Institute of Fundraising starts offering email briefings to its members

Howard Lake | 29 January 2003 | News

Two and a half years after it created its first web site, the Institute of Fundraising has begun to use email to share updates with its members.

In a written update to members, Lindsey Boswell, CEO of the Institute, reminded members that they could opt in to receive these briefings which “are now starting in a serious and effective way.” To sign up for the email alerts members need to login to the members only area of the website using their name and membership number and then subscribe or unsubscribe from these briefings.

Boswell is keen that members don’t feel overloaded with emails. “This system,” he explains, is designed knowing that we all get too many emails and too much information.” He assures members that “your membership of the Institute is designed to help you cut through this information overload rather than add to it.”
