BBC Radio 4’s Money Box Live yesterday hosted a phone-in on charitable giving.

Presenter Paul Lewis put questions from the public on charitable giving to the panel of experts which comprised Alastair Collet, charity partner at Farrer & Co, Peter Gilheaney, Giving Campaign Communications Director, and Shirley Scott, Director of the Charity Finance Directors’ Group.

You can listen to the 30-minute programme online for the rest of the week via the BBCi Web site. Questions covered in the programme include payroll giving, signing the Gift Aid form if you don’t pay tax, why the Disasters Emergency Committee donation form at banks didn’t include a Gift Aid option, and whether it was better for an older relative to make a donation while alive or through her Will.
