Childnet Awards announced
UK charity Childnet International and Cable & Wireless have announced “The Childnet Awards.”
According to CAF’s Charitynet, the awards are intended to “to highlight and reward innovative and exciting Internet projects that benefit children worldwide.” The charity also hopes to encourage organisations with limited resources to do more.
Three entrants will be shortlisted in two categories -schools, and individuals & not-for-profit organisations, and two entrants will be shortlisted in the new to the Internet category.

The award ceremony will be held in London, although the awards are open to organisations across the world and entry information is available in English, French and Spanish. Prizes range from £500 to £3000.
Entries must be submitted by 6 December 2002.
