Stephen joins CAF after a career in the commercial sector, where he was Group Director of Strategy for the Lattice Group PLC, the UK’s leading provider of energy infrastructure networks, and before that a Director of Transco PLC. This followed on from a 24 year career with BP, where he held
a number of positions in the UK and overseas.
Sir Brian Jenkins, CAF’s Chairman of Trustees, commented, “In Stephen Ainger, we have found the best person to succeed Michael Brophy: he has all the right instincts and experience to take CAF forward and to meet the challenges posed by the need to generate greater charitable resources.”
Stephen Ainger said: “This is an enormously exciting opportunity for me. Charitable activity is something very close to my heart and in which I believe we all have a role to play. CAF has achieved a huge amount in increasing charitable funding over the last two decades and I look forward to leading its team of dedicated and expert staff.”
