RefAid changes its name

Howard Lake | 9 October 2002 | News

RefAid has changed its name to UK for UNHCR.

The charity’s name change is designed to reflect its support for the United Nations’ work for refugees around the world. It has dropped its orange logo and used the blue logo of UNHCR, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The change followed a MORI survey which found that UNHCR had a much higher and more respected profile in the UK than RefAid.
