The National Lottery Commission has announced that the National Lottery is likely to raise £5 billion less for good causes during its latest seven-year licence.

In practice this means good causes will receive about the same as they did in the first licence period. Lottery operator Camelot had originally suggested they would generate £15 billion for good causes, but the figure now looks likely to be £10 billion.
