Charitable solicitations in top 10 online fraud list
The US government has introduced The Sentinel, an online database of Internet frauds and scams for use by law enforcement agencies in the USA, Canada and Australia. Sentinel lists the top 10 most common online frauds, and “charitable solicitations” is listed in eighth place. It shares this dubious distinction with “Business Opportunities and Work-at-Home Plans” and “Travel, Vacation and Timeshare Plans.”
