Tempted to pre-order a new top-level domain name?
If you’re keen to register some of the new top-level domain names for your charity, hold back. Don’t believe those companies who offer to take your money in return for “guaranteeing” you one of these domain names.
Read the advice offered by the US Federal Trade Commission. The UK Trading Standards Institute is also reportedly investigating domain name pre-registration, but there was no further information on their Web site.
