Scale of voluntary sector in south east England

Research for RAISE (Regional Action & Involvement South East) has found that there are an estimated 28,200 voluntary and community organisations in south east England. The research also showed that Councils for Voluntary Service, Volunteer Bureaux, and local authorities tended to know very different parts of the voluntary and community sectors in their local areas.
