Howard Lake | 18 November 2000 | News

The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation’s “Mission: Possible” campaign ended this week, raising more than $21,000 dollars through the Internet for spinal cord research. This is the largest sum ever raised online by the foundation for a single campaign.

The event drew over 200 bids and 7,000 visits to the auction, which offered 14 different items. The online auction featured a variety of celebrity experiences and memorabilia, including a lap around the race track with Paul Newman in a PPG Pace car, lunch with Emmy-Award winning actress Sela Ward and a role on Broadway in the current production of Les Miserables.
