Charity trustees to remain unpaid

After a year’s consultation, the Charity Commission has concluded that charity trustees should in most cases not be paid for their services. It has indicated, however, that it might be open to allowing exceptions, given many charities’ difficulty in recruiting sufficiently qualified trustees.
