AOL Foundation launches major US non-profit portal

The Benton Foundation in conjunction with the AOL Foundation has launched a major non-commercial US philanthropy portal. Helping.org was launched this morning.

It will:

  • link visitors to volunteer opportunities

    • Advertisement

    Great Fundraising Organizations, by Alan Clayton. Buy now.
  • encourage online donations to US non-profits

  • register non-profit organisations to a donations and volunteer database

  • provide current news on global emergencies and relief efforts

  • offer a clearinghouse for digital divide issues

  • link non-profits to online help in using the Internet

    • UK Fundraising is already listed under the site’s section on Fundraising on the Internet.
