Blood cancer charity in £150k partnership with Frankie & Benny’s

Blood Cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research has secured a six month fundraising partnership with restaurant brand Frankie & Benny’s. The charity expects it will raise at least £150,000 between now and July, with support from across Frankie & Benny’s 240 restaurants.
The fundraising began with a series of free breakfasts at which diners donated money to the charity instead of paying for their breakfast.
On 1 and 2 March, the restaurant chain will run a ‘kids eat free’ weekend which will include a pizza design competition. The winning pizzas will then be sold nationwide, with £1 from each pizza sold going to Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Staff involvement includes a team taking part in the charity’s London to Paris bike ride in June, cycling more than 300 miles in aid of blood cancer.
Cathy Gilman, Chief Executive of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, said:
“We are thrilled to announce this partnership, and thank Frankie and Benny’s staff and guests for raising £10,000 from the recent charity breakfasts”.
