First match-funding provider for Ploink

Microdonations service Ploink! has partnered with its first guest match-funder. Online payments specialist CardSave Community is matching the first £250 donated during the month of November to The Nathan Timothy Foundation.
John Quinn, the charity's Director of Engagement said: "We were thrilled to learn we had been voted Charity of the Month. We must say thank you to the wonderful people at CardSave for providing the match funds! Their generosity will help us support wellbeing of up to 40 children, some of whom may be being bullied, lacking in confidence or have low self-esteem."
To date, Ploink!, akin to an online version of the charity collection tin, has provided the match funding itself. Founder Marc Simpson explained: "with the site's recent relaunch, we felt it was the perfect time to offer companies a fun and effective way of exercising their corporate social responsibility".

The site lists over 450 charities which can receive microdonations from the public.
Cardsave Community will be followed by other companies which have already agreed to be guest match-funding providers.
