P&G donates Olympic furniture to London children's project
P&G (Procter & Gamble) has donated £85,000 worth of furniture and toys via In Kind Direct to Kids’ City.
The donation came from the ‘Family Home’ of the Olympic sponsors, set up in London to give the mothers and families of Olympians from all corners of the globe a place to relax, unwind and be together.
After the Paralympics, P&G worked with In Kind Direct to ensure that the contents of this “home away from home” were put to good use after the Games.

The items donated included: 30 ‘Fatboy’ 6 foot beanbags in Olympic medal colours, 10 boxes of toys and books, 4 indoor slides, 6 playground tree benches and 45 sofas.
In Kind Direct, a charity which redistributes product donations from companies to charities around the UK, arranged for the products to be placed with Brixton-based children’s charity Kids’ City who provide play services across South London.
As well as supplying their own holiday playschemes and after school clubs, Kids’ City was able to pass on items to youth centres and children’s projects across south London.
