ITV’s Text Santa campaign returns in December 2012 with another series of major entertainment shows, all raising funds for charities working with disadvantaged people and promoting the ease of giving via mobile devices.
Charities are invited to apply to become a Text Santa beneficiary by completing an application form and emailing or posting it to ITV to be received by midday on 18 June 2012.

Is your charity eligible?

Eligibility criteria include:
* Registered UK charity with regional operational presence: the charity’s work is carried out within the regions as well as nationally
* Charity funds must be for UK-based projects
* The primary function of the charity is to provide practical and tangible help for people in need
* The minimum level of average annual income must be £1.5 million for the period between 2009-2011.
Funds cannot be used for core costs, and charities must not be running any major Christmas campaigns of their own or with another 250 FTSE company between October 2012 and March 2013 that would conflict with Text Santa.
Last year Text Santa raised £4.2 million for 9 charities – Carers UK, Crisis, Help the Hospices, Samaritans, WRVS and four Children’s Hospitals – Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Noah’s Ark Appeal, Helping Hand and YorkHill Children’s Foundation.
One of the partners for this year will be BlueDot, the social currency site that gives “daily offers for good people”.
