Vodafone to match employees' £1m JustTextGiving target

Howard Lake | 16 July 2012 | News

Telecomms company Vodafone is urging its employees to raise £1 million for UK charities over the summer using JustTextGiving, the mobile giving service it has developed and funded in partnership with JustGiving.
It is asking each employee to raise £100. They can choose any charity they like. The company will then match the funds raised up to £1 million.
Employees choose a Vodafone Individual Code (VIC), and then persuade their friends, family and colleagues to use the code to text up to £10 to the good cause. Git Aid and a message can be added if their their phone is internet-enabled.
Since its launch just over a year ago JustTextGiving by Vodafone has signed up 15,000 charities and more than 30,000 individual fundraisers.
