New Neighbourly Mark shows corporate giving

Neighbourly Mark easily connects public to recorded community activity

Neighbourly, the corporate community-giving platform, has launched a public-facing badge, the Neighbourly Mark, letting people see the funding, volunteering and surplus products a business has given to local charities and good causes through the platform.

How it works

Active Neighbourly partners can place the clickable, scannable Mark on websites, apps, shop windows and workplace signage. Scanning or clicking it takes people to the organisation’s public Neighbourly profile, showing the funding, volunteering and surplus product donations it has recorded through the platform.

Founding partners rolling out the Mark include Marks & Spencer, B&Q, Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Aldi, William Hill, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Müller, Heineken UK and Pret A Manger, alongside organisations in financial services, energy, infrastructure and professional services. Neighbourly says its network covers more than 45,000 vetted local charities and good causes.

Since 2014, Neighbourly says it has facilitated more than £2.2 billion in social value, including over £47 million in local grants and funding, 347,000 hours of volunteering time, 358 million meals’ worth of surplus food redistributed, and 6,400 tonnes of product donations.

Steve Butterworth, Chief Executive Officer of Neighbourly, said:

“Businesses can say they give back to local communities, but the details are often difficult to find for the people who care about them the most. The Neighbourly Mark provides real time proof in the places people already meet the brand.”

Eligibility for the Mark is limited to active Neighbourly partners and is confirmed from the platform’s own records; organisations cannot self-declare or apply separately. Further information for businesses interested in partnering with Neighbourly is available via Neighbourly’s partner hub.
